The middle school teams will get into the action too with an exhibition game at 6:30pm between a co-ed team of the Wayland MS boys and girls vs. the Weston MS boys and girls.
The event will also feature:
- A food truck providing food and beverages all night
- Wayland High’s all-female a cappella group, The Muses, singing the National Anthem before the girls’ game at 7pm
- 50/50 raffle taking place over the course of all the games with one winner announced between 2nd and 3rd period of the boys Post Road Cup game
- An exciting night of hockey with all of our teams under one roof for one night!

The Wayland boys middle school team starts its season this coming weekend on Saturday, November 4th at 7:20am at New England Sports Center in Marlboro. The Wayland/Weston girls middle school team season begins with a practice at 8:20am on Saturday, November 18th at Rivers in Weston with the first game on Sunday, December 2 at 7:10am at Rivers. The 1st Annual Wayland-Weston Hockey Night at Rivers was a huge success. A large crowd of parents, students and fans turned out for a great night of hockey — and the Wayland and Wayland/Weston teams delivered.
The Wayland/Weston girls middle school team tied Ashland/Medway/Holliston 0-0 with a great defensive effort by both teams and solid goaltending by Aine Ley.
Wayland boys MS beat Weston 7-1 with solid team play and goaltending by both Sweet brothers.
The Wayland/Weston girls varsity team continued their winning streak and beat Cambridge 4-2. After a 0-6 start this season, the WarCats are 5-4-2!
The Wayland boys varsity team blanked Weston 7-0 to win the 1st Annual Post Road Cup and secure their spot in the playoffs for the 7th consecutive year. Senior goaltender Andrew Ludwig recorded his 10th career shutout to tie for the school record.

Clear your calendar on Saturday, February 11 for the Wayland-Weston Night of Hockey at Rivers in Weston.
The boys’ and girls’ high school and middle school teams from Wayland and Weston will be playing consecutive games starting at 4:20pm and culminating in the 1st Annual Post Road Cup presented to the winner of the Varsity boys’ game at 8:30pm.
There will be pizza, drinks and snacks for sale and other fun surprises so make a night of it. More details to be released soon!

Have a 6th, 7th or 8th grade hockey player?? Tryout information and registration is now open for both the Wayland Middle School boys and girls teams.
Boys Team Tryouts: (Please note there are two different locations for the tryouts)
Sunday, October 23rd at 7:30am – Ryan Arena, 1 Paramount Place, Watertown
Wednesday, October 26 at 4:30pm – New England Sports Center (NESC), 121 Donald Lynch Blvd., Marlborough
All players must have a current USA Hockey ID# to tryout. Tryout fee: $50. Checks can be made out to Wayland Hockey Association.
The WMS Boys hockey team plays in the Middle School league at NESC which is a game-only league with all games played at NESC. The team will have a few scrimmages at various rinks such as Rivers and others.

Girls Team Tryouts:
For girls interested in playing for the Wayland/Weston Middle School team, there will be an informational meeting with the WMS girls’ coach, Alan LaPierre, for potential players and parents on Friday, October 28th at 7pm at 9 High Rock Road, Wayland.
All players must have a current USA Hockey ID# to be eligible to play for the team.
