Warriors Put It All Together in Decisive Win Over Rivals

MARLBOROUGH — With its season at the halfway point, the Wayland boys hockey team had yet to really click over the first month of play.

Yes, the Warriors notched solid wins over league opponents Newton South and Bedford, but Wayland was still looking for that one victory that came as the result of a complete team performance. Quick Learning Curve for Wayland-Weston Girls

Two seasons ago, the Weston-Wayland girls hockey team was winless, but improved last year to five wins.

This season, seven games in, the WarCats already have two wins and an impressive tie against Medfield.

The two wins came against Cambridge and Central Catholic, and coach Wink Van Ogtrop credits the early-season wins to quick learning by her younger players. Read more from article
