Bourne – Despite outshooting Hanover to the tune of 25 to 13, the Warriors could not find the back of the net. Hanover made the most of their opportunities and won by a score of 3-0, which included an empty-net goal with under a minute remaining.
The boys had an outstanding playoff run, culminating with a Division 3 North title over Newton South. The Warriors made it to the final four out of 77 Division 3 hockey teams and were state semi-finalists. They graduate the very successful senior class of Marcus Daisy, Roby Williams, Ben Boschetto, Charlie Cope, Peter Christakis, and AJ Love.
Thank you seniors! You were true Warriors.
The Warriors will travel to Bourne to take on D3 South sectional winner Hanover for the right to play for the D3 state championship on Sunday at the TD Garden in Boston.

After a stunning upset over the top-seeded Watertown Raiders, the Warriors needed to take care of business against a hungry Newton South squad. The boys prevailed 3-2, turning in one of their most gusty performances of the year to capture their second D3 North Sectional.
The Warriors will play Hanover in the Eastern Mass title game. Time and date still being decided on.

BILLERICA — There may have only been one goal, but Thursday night’s Division 3 North semifinal between the Wayland and Watertown boys hockey teams was one for the ages.
The game featured a frantic back-and-forth pace, with each team having quality scoring opportunities in regulation, but 45 minutes of play wasn’t enough to settle it.

Chelmsford – The Wayland boys’ hockey team defeated Lynn 6-1 in the D3 North quarter-finals to move on. Junior forward Nick Morgan had a 5-point effort in the win (3-goals, 2-assists). Junior defenseman Pete Orlandella chipped in a goal and 2 assists and junior center Lucas Bastarache notched 3 assists. Senior goaltender Ben Boschetto stopped 13 of 14 shots for the win. The shutdown defense pairing of senior captain Marcus Daisy and junior Nick Greenwood played outstanding against Lynn’s very potent first line, holding them scoreless.
