Boston Herald Ranks Warriors 2nd in State

The Wayland Boys hockey team was recently ranked #2 in the state in Division 3 by Jim Clark, writer of the popular Boston Herald “In the Slot” blogumn, which focuses on high school hockey. After convincing wins against Dracut and Weston, the Warriors are now in first place in the MVC/DCL III league with a 5-0 league record. They are 6-3 overall, losing only to Matignon, Sandwich, and Tewksbury – all teams who are in higher divisions.

The Warriors will host reigning D3A state champion Agawam, who has now moved up to Division 3. The 6-1-2 Brownies will be a great test for the Warriors as they are considered by many publications to be the class of the west. The puck drops at 4:40pm on Saturday at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro.
